Competition Dancing

What is Competition Dancing?
We encourage any student who wants to test his or her skill in a larger arena to consider competition Pro-Am dancing. Your instructor can design a lesson program that will get you ready to compete against dancers at your skill level at local and regional Dancesport Championships. It will give you a chance to take your dancing to levels beyond social dancing.

Competitions cover all styles of dancing: International and American style; latin and ballroom, and even specialty categories such as Hustle and Peabody. Contestant categories from Newcomer to Championship assure that you will be dancing with other dancers at your level.

Your instructor has all the details, and will help you select the dances and categories for your first "Comp."
